Gilded stained glass transom and repaired sidelights, Aberdeen.
When the client moved into this West End property in Aberdeen, he was keen to replace the stained glass transom light. It had been made by a local firm, but no attempt had been made to match the existing sidelights, or the original windows preserved elsewhere on the street.
Our brief was to provide a new transom to match the existing sidelights, including a gilded house name and number and multiple painted motifs, and to restore one of the sidelights. We were also asked to bring a bit of colour into the interior, so we added matching upper lights to the inner vestibule framing.
