Stained Glass Image of the Day - Rowett Institute, Aberdeen

The Rowett Institute, currently located on the A96 near Dyce Airport Roundabout but scheduled to move to a new building in Aberdeen in 2014,

was founded in 1913 and led many landmark studies of diet and health. As part of the move, the large stairway window (pictured) is to be relocated.

The window (1938) is by Alexander Strachan, brother of the more famous Douglas Strachan, and shows the main research themes of the Institute between the two World Wars (human and animal nutrition).
