Aboriginal Australian Style Window, Old Aberdeen

We are currently working on a series of 5 windows for a listed building in Old Aberdeen. The clients are from Australia, and wanted splashes of bright colour with an Australian feel. We decided to use both raark and dot motifs in a series of panels, ranging from a tiny 20cmx10cm peep hole to a 2m wide arched window above a series of 4 doors. Through the windows a snake-like figure appears, which represents the River Don and the geographical reason for the location of the house. The first panel in the series, shown here, is a small panel in the kitchen of the property.
