This week we finished installing these panels into a custom wooden frame fitted to a stairwell window. The two large central window panels were salvaged from a skip by a builder 20 years ago, during renovation work at an Aberdeen school. We stripped them out, resized the borders and remade the panels. With the addition of some newly designed simple borders, the windows make a fantastic feature on the stairway.
Last week I installed a set of three stained glass windows in a property in Aberdeen. The windows were designed for a former doorway - the occupants had knocked two buildings into one, and converted the entrace of one property into a window and vestibule.
Last week I installed 4 pairs of new Victorian Geometric style panels in a property near Alford. These traditional panels sit very comfortably in this restored period property, and bring a lot of light into the hallway.
The clients are renovating a large Victorian property in Laurencekirk, and as part of the project they were keen to see the original doorway reinstated. The existing glass was almost all gone, with the exception of a door panel which had seen better days.
We restored the door, recreating some of the damaged painted sections, and designed new sidelights and a tiny transom light incorporating motifs from the original window.
