Restored Victorian Door Panel, Aberdeenshire

After what seems like an eternity, we're starting to get through the backlog of windows in the workshop.

This small panel appeared to have been damaged in it's upper section, but when we started to strip it out it was evident that all the lead except that in the central motif was corroded. It went back together easily enough, but the door frame had swollen slightly so we slimmed down the outer lead (from 12mm to 10mm) in order to help it fit better. I particularly liked the deep heart-shaped jewel at the base of the "thistle"
