"Haven" Framework complete
Earlier this week I drove over to GGD Engineering Ltd, near Newburgh, to pick up the steel brackets for the "Haven" sculpture. Having struggled to find a firm interested in actually making the pieces, I'll be using GGD for all our framing from now on - they made them up in less than a week from the order being confirmed...
A couple of changes to the original drawing (neatening up the terminal on the horizontal support bar) have really added to the clean design, and the finished items look great.
The steel will head off for powder coating on Friday, and we'll start casting the first of the glass in the next fortnight or so.
